Does the Triton TRA001 need a router lift?
Not necessarily. The Triton TRA001 plunge router includes a table-height winder and rack-and-pinion height adjustment intended for router-table use. Triton says these features can eliminate the need for a separate lifting mechanism when the router is installed in a suitable table. That is different from a claim that the TRA001 fits a particular third-party router lift.
Triton TRA001 compatibility: current Finder evidence
The following are the four relationships currently recorded in WoodToolGuide’s Compatibility Finder. Unverified does not mean incompatible. It means we do not have sufficient exact-model manufacturer evidence to confirm the fit. In order to know in detail how will establish compatibility , read our router lift compatibility guide

TRA001 versus TFBR001: do not confuse the models
The TRA001 is Triton’s dual-mode plunge router with built-in above-table adjustment. The TFBR001 is a separate fixed-base router motor. JessEm’s current Mast-R-Lift II page specifically identifies TFBR001 as compatible, and Rockler describes the TFBR001 motor as fitting selected lifts. Neither statement establishes that the TRA001 fits those lifts.
How to use the TRA001 in a router table
Triton’s official TRA001 manual documents its table-height winder, removable plunge spring, and mounting threads for third-party or custom router tables. The manual states that the plunge spring must be removed before fitting the router into a router table. Follow its spring-removal safety instructions, including retaining control of the spring cap. The manual describes four 1/4-inch UNC threads and, on some versions, three M6 threads; earlier versions may lack the M6 threads.
A router-table mounting plate is not the same as a router lift. Before buying a plate, verify the mounting-hole pattern for your TRA001 revision, access for the table-height winder, clearance for the plunge mechanism and controls, and the table manufacturer’s mounting and safety instructions. Do not assume universal fit.
What should TRA001 owners buy?
If your goal is above-table bit-height adjustment, investigate a manufacturer-supported mounting plate or router-table configuration that preserves the TRA001’s built-in winder before paying for a separate lift. If you specifically want a third-party lift, ask its manufacturer to confirm TRA001 by exact model number and any required hardware. A listing for “Triton 3.25” or TFBR001 alone is not enough.
