Wood Tool Guide is being built to make those decisions easier.
What We Do
We research compatibility information from manufacturer documentation and other authoritative sources, organize it into structured data, and turn it into practical tools such as our Router Lift Compatibility Finder.
Our goal is simple: help you answer questions such as:
“Will this accessory work with the tool I already own?”
without having to search through multiple manuals, product pages, and compatibility charts.
How We Handle Compatibility
We do not assume that two products are compatible simply because they appear similar.
Compatibility records may be classified as:
Manufacturer Verified — supported by manufacturer documentation.
Requires Modification — the combination can work, but an adapter, collar, drilling, or another specified change is required.
Unverified — we have not found sufficient authoritative evidence to claim compatibility. This does not necessarily mean the products are incompatible.
Incompatible — authoritative information indicates that the products do not fit or work together.
Where possible, we provide the source and the date the information was checked so you can review the evidence yourself.
