When we record that a woodworking tool and accessory work together, we try to trace that relationship to manufacturer documentation or another authoritative source.
Our Evidence Process
For each compatibility relationship, we identify the exact products and models involved and look for supporting information from sources such as:
- Manufacturer product pages
- Manufacturer manuals
- Manufacturer compatibility charts
- Official technical documentation
- Authorized retailer information when manufacturer documentation is unavailable
Where available, we record the evidence source and the date it was checked.
Compatibility Statuses
Manufacturer Verified
Manufacturer documentation supports the compatibility relationship.
This does not necessarily mean that no setup is required. Any important mounting or configuration requirement we identify is shown with the result.
Requires Modification
The products can work together, but an additional step or component is required.
Examples may include an adapter, collar, different mounting configuration, drilling, or another manufacturer-specified change.
The required modification should be shown with the compatibility result.
Unverified
We have not found sufficient authoritative evidence to confidently claim compatibility.
Unverified does not mean incompatible.
It means we do not currently have enough evidence to classify the relationship more strongly.
Incompatible
Authoritative information indicates that the products do not fit or work together in the configuration being evaluated.
We Do Not Guess Fitment
Similar dimensions, product appearance, third-party discussions, or AI-generated information alone are not sufficient for us to mark an important compatibility relationship as verified.
When evidence is incomplete, we prefer to label the relationship Unverified rather than guess.
Information Can Change
Manufacturers can revise products, specifications, accessories and documentation.
For this reason, compatibility results include a source checked date where available. Users should review the linked source and confirm current specifications before purchasing, modifying or installing equipment.
